Insulated Patio Cover in Hartford, WI — 2 TV Walls + Lattice-Tube Wind Break
A Hartford family wanted a true outdoor living room beside their pool—comfortable in wind, usable in light rain, and ready for game day. We designed and installed an insulated aluminum patio cover with two dedicated TV walls and a lattice‑tube wind‑break/privacy wall, creating a shaded, protected lounge that stays inviting through Wisconsin’s changing weather.

Project Summary
This project turns a stamped‑concrete pad into a multi‑use entertainment zone. The solid, insulated roof provides a finished‑ceiling look and sheds rain while helping keep heat off the seating area. Two TV walls keep screens out of direct sun and let us route power/AV wiring cleanly inside the structure. A lattice‑tube side wall breaks up cross‑breezes without closing off views, so conversations stay comfortable even on gusty afternoons.

Before → During → After
Before: The patio sat fully exposed beside the pool equipment. With no cover, wind and sun limited mid‑day use and made screen glare a problem.
During: We set posts on the slab, stood the structural frame, and built out the first TV wall for rough‑in—routing power and low‑voltage lines inside the system for a clean final look.
After: The space now feels like an outdoor room: a cool, dry lounge with two viewing angles, calmer wind along the seating edge, and sightlines that still open to the yard.
Challenges & How We Solved Them
Wind across an open yard
The patio is exposed to cross‑breezes. We added a lattice‑tube wind‑break to reduce gusts without closing off views. Homeowners can customize the spacing between tubes to balance privacy, airflow, and sightlines.
Screen glare + cable management
Outdoor TVs need shade and tidy wiring. Our TV walls keep screens out of direct sun and hide all cables inside the structure, protecting them from weather and keeping the space uncluttered.
Weather‑proof usability
A solid insulated roof keeps the patio dry in light rain and cooler on hot afternoons. It also supports ceiling fans and lighting so the area stays usable day and night.
